Import a Kraken CSV

Kraken makes it easy to export your transaction history as a CSV file. This tutorial guides you through retrieving your data and importing it into Taxes Crypto to calculate your taxes.

Export your entire history for accurate tax calculations. Select 'All' as the period during export to avoid missing anything.
Log in to Kraken
Go to kraken.com and log in to your account. Complete 2FA verification if enabled.

Access your history
In the main menu, click on 'History'. You will see the list of all your past transactions (trades, deposits, withdrawals).

Export as CSV
Click on the 'Export' button at the top of the history page. Select 'Trades' as the export type, choose the period (all dates), and click 'Submit'. Download the generated CSV file.
š” You can also export 'Ledgers' for a more detailed history including fees.
Import into Taxes Crypto
In Taxes Crypto, go to 'Platforms' > 'Add a platform'. Select Kraken, then 'CSV Import'. Upload your file. The Kraken format is automatically detected.

Review and generate your report
Check the summary of your imported transactions. Verify the amounts and trading pairs, then run the capital gains calculation to get your tax report.
