Import a Coinbase CSV
Export your Coinbase transactions as CSV and import them into Taxes Crypto.
Coinbase allows you to generate transaction reports in CSV format. This tutorial shows you how to retrieve your data and import it into Taxes Crypto for your tax return.

Generate a report covering the entire period of your transactions for accurate tax calculations. A partial report may distort your capital gains calculation.
Log in to Coinbase
Go to coinbase.com and log in to your account. Complete two-step verification if required.
š” Use the Coinbase web app rather than the mobile app for easier access to reports.
Access reports
Click on your avatar in the top right corner, then select 'Reports'. You can also access it via Settings > Reports.
š” On Coinbase Pro/Advanced Trade, reports are in a different section.
Generate the transaction report
Click on 'Generate report'. Select 'Transaction history' as the report type. Choose 'All time' as the period and CSV as the format. Start the generation.
š” The report may take a few minutes to generate. You will receive an email when it is ready.
Import into Taxes Crypto
In Taxes Crypto, go to 'Platforms' > 'Add a platform'. Select Coinbase, then 'CSV Import'. Upload the downloaded file. The Coinbase format is automatically recognised.
š” If you have transactions on both Coinbase and Coinbase Pro, import both files separately.
Review and calculate
Review the summary of imported transactions. Make sure all your operations appear (purchases, sales, conversions). Run the tax calculation to get your report.
š” Crypto-to-crypto conversions on Coinbase are also taken into account in the tax calculation.
Security tips
Delete the CSV file from your downloads after import
